2013 Colorado State University

Elizabeth (Betsy) Lordan graduated from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine (Fort Collins, Colorado) in 2013. During her time in veterinary school, Betsy worked as an equine nurse in the teaching hospital's intensive care ward supervising and assisting with patient care.

She also began her training as a farrier working with local Colorado farriers.

Following veterinary school, she completed an equine internship at a sport horse referral practice in New Hampshire that focused on medical and surgical cases in addition to specialty diagnostic imaging such as MRI and CT. Betsy worked closely with local farriers on hospitalised patients and began pursuing her farrier certification through the American Farrier's Association. Betsy joined The Equine Podiatry and Lameness Centre in 2014 to further her interest in lameness and biomechanics in relation to shoeing with additional interest in sport horse medicine and diagnostic imaging.
